GRI guidance UX roundThe AI settings tabA third settings tab, "AI assistance", drawn in its regular-user and super-admin states (DECISION U-4a: the layout; the mechanics behind it are decided).PROPOSAL2026-08-25
Annotation · what U-4a decides, and what is already decidedDecided and not up for restyling (spec 8.1, 8.3, 10, 11): the tab follows the two existing settings tabs' conventions, the level ladder is Standard and Extended context, extended context requires the tenant key AND per-user consent (the two-key rule), the super admin writes the two tenant toggles through a dedicated role-gated route, and every toggle change lands in the activity log. U-4a decides the LAYOUT drawn here: the vertical switcher placement, the status card, the two level cards side by side, and the organization-controls section at the foot of the super admin view. Base convention: the product's real User Settings screen, a left vertical section switcher (User Information, Password Update) with the content card at right; the third item is the addition.
State 1 · regular userTenant has the AI helper on and extended context allowed. The user is at level Standard. No organization-controls section renders for this role.

Annotationthe existing page description is drawn unchanged; whether it gains a third clause for AI assistance is a build-time copy detail, not part of U-4a

AI assistance
The AI helper explains what things on a page mean. It never decides anything for you.
The AI helper is available in your organization.
Open it from the Help controls on the pages that carry it. Help content that explains pages and fields is always on and is not affected by anything on this tab.
Your context level
Standardcurrent level
The helper sees page structure and published Help content, your questions, and what the page already shows. It never sees your organization's names or the values anyone entered.
Extended context
Adds, for the surfaces where you use the helper: the cycle name and period, organization unit names in your active scope, and the values entered on the surface you are viewing.
Request extended contextAnnotationopens the consent dialog, page 05; nothing changes unless it is accepted there
Returning to Standard is always available on this tab and takes effect immediately.
State 2 · super adminEverything the regular user sees, plus the organization-controls section. Both toggles are drawn on, matching the status card above them.

AI helper
Turns the AI helper off or on for every user of Bluefin Foods Group.
Extended context available
Allows users to request extended context for themselves. Without it, nobody in the organization can.
Changes here are recorded in the activity log.
Annotation · when the tab renders at allThe tab exists only for users of tenants with the GRI reporting module on; everyone else's settings screen is byte-identical to today's (spec 10, 11). Within such a tenant: a regular user sees the tab only while the AI helper is on. The super admin sees the tab even when the helper is turned off, because the on switch has to live somewhere; in that state the status card reads that the helper is off for the organization and the context-level section renders inert. That off-state rendering is a workspace judgment call flagged for the PM, drawn here only in annotation.
Annotation · three boundaries these toggles never cross1. Deterministic Help (page explainers, intro overlays, field Help) is never behind either toggle; only the AI helper is. 2. There is no user-level off switch in I1: a user who does not want the helper simply does not open it; a personal hide is a recorded post-I1 option. 3. Turning "Extended context available" off returns every user of the tenant to Standard immediately, whatever they consented to earlier; stored consent records are kept for audit (spec 8.3).
