GRI 302-1 (a)Energy used at this site, by sourceTable, one row per sourceRequired by this editionOmission allowedanswered2 rows
Composed guidance (placeholder)
List every energy source the site drew on during the reporting period, one row each. Enter the quantity as your meters or invoices recorded it and choose the matching unit; do not convert between units here.
Annotationnever hides: composed catalog guidance is functional by fiat (spec 7.4, collision 4) and renders identically in both densities

Where these rows go
Each row becomes one line in the energy section of the assembled report, grouped by source. Row order here does not matter; the report sorts them.
Annotationexplain slot, block explainer variant: explanatory, collapses in compact density
Energy source*from the source list set by this edition
Quantity*number only
Unit*GJ, MWh, kWh, litres
How it was measuredoptional, short text

Why we ask for the source unit
Conversions between GJ, MWh, kWh and litres are done centrally with audited factors when the report is assembled, so every published figure stays traceable to the number on the meter or invoice.
Annotationexplain slot, table-adjacent note variant (never inside data cells): explanatory, collapses in compact density
Add rowThe table columns are set by the standard edition this cycle uses. You add and remove rows; columns cannot be added, renamed, reordered, or removed.
Copy last cycle's answerUnavailable: FY2024 answered this question with an omission, so there are no rows to copy.
Why is this unavailable?
The copy control fills this table from the same question in your previous reporting cycle. FY2024 exists, but this question was omitted there under a confidentiality restriction, so there is no table to copy from. Entering this year's rows directly is the expected path.
Annotationtwo parts, two rules: the one-line reason above is refusal-embedded, functional by fiat, never hides; this expanded why-explainer is explanatory depth and collapses in compact density
One or the other, never both.
A question holds either an answer or an omission. If you switch to "Report an omission instead",
the answer on this question is cleared when you save the omission. If you switch back, the omission
is cleared. The screen tells you before it clears anything, and nothing is cleared until you save.
Annotationnever hides: warn strips are functional by fiat (spec 7.4, collisions 5 to 7 class)

Demo helper · how this page is drawnOne surface, drawn twice at half scale so both densities fit one 1080p screen. The surface is the table-answer entry page from the reviewed GRI Catalog Admin set (page 05), with one addition for this exhibit: a disabled "Copy last cycle's answer" control, invented so a disabled-control refusal appears on the drawing. The small amber chips inside the drawings are review scaffolding at doubled type size so they stay readable at half scale; nothing amber ships. Guidance wording is composed placeholder copy throughout.
Annotation · the exact differences between the two drawings
Byte-identical in both densities (functional by fiat, spec 7.4): the question strip, the composed guidance block (collision 4: composed catalog content never collapses even though it reads like guidance), the table with its column hints, the columns-are-fixed line, the disabled control and its one-line unavailability reason (refusal-embedded), the warn strip (the collision 5 to 7 class), and the action buttons.
Left only (explanatory, explain-slot rendered): three items collapse: the "Where these rows go" block explainer above the table, the "Why we ask for the source unit" table-adjacent note below it, and the expanded "Why is this unavailable?" explainer under the disabled control.
Right only: each collapsed item leaves one small neutral indicator in its place. The indicator drawn here is a deliberate stand-in; which affordance actually marks hidden guidance is the decision on page 02.
What compact buys: on this surface, roughly one third of the vertical space between the tabs and the save button. The functional skeleton (what to enter, what is fixed, what refuses, what a save clears) is unchanged by design; if the two drawings differ anywhere else, the drawing is wrong.
Annotation · what D-g-4 decides, and what it does notD-g-4 adopts the classification rule this page draws: ruling-pinned, refusal-embedded, and composed-guidance content is functional by fiat, renders through its host component, and never enters a collapsible slot; density collapse only ever hides explanatory explain-slot content. Not decided by this page: the reveal interaction for a collapsed slot (a separate decided-once decision at the guidance UX round), and the density toggle itself, which ships after I1 (explain-layer design, item 5 and item 1).
